NB-IoT 580N SmartPoint^®

Sensus NB-IoT 580N SmartPoint^® Module enables utilities to deploy Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) using commercial NB-IoT networks. The module pairs SensusRF and standard OMS wireless M-Bus (wM-Bus) radio water meters to NB-IoT communications, allowing utilities to operate within existing cellular infrastructure from day one of deployment.

The SmartPoint supports license-free 433 MHz and 868 MHz short-range radio bands to receive SensusRF or wM-Bus meter data and transmits onward via 3GPP-approved NB-IoT bands (B3, B8, B12, B20, B28). It acts as a bridge between low-power short-range meter radio and long-range NB-IoT communication.

Designed for flexible AMI architectures, the NB-IoT 580N can complement new or existing FlexNet deployments without requiring a dedicated utility radio network. Its two-way communication platform supports remote firmware updates and configuration, helping control both deployment and operational costs.
